Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene Commercially known as CSM or Hypalon®, it is produced by treating polyethylene with chlorine and sulfur dioxide. This unique process endows it with excellent weather resistance, chemical resistance, UV resistance, wear resistance ,outstanding colorability, heat aging resistance, ozone resistance, weather ability. The difference in chlorine content also makes it have good resistance to high and low temperatures and oil, and the operating temperature can range from -40℃ to 150℃.
Chlorinated Polyethylene(CM), can be crosslinked with peroxides to form an elastomer which is used in cable and rubber industries. When chlorinated polyethylene is added to other polyolefins, it reduces the flammability.
